History: InBorn GT Innovation Fellowship

The Innovation Fellowship was established in 2026 by InBorn GT, a private student support organization founded by Adonis Vita, a STEM student in Washington State. InBorn GT operates four initiatives, the Innovation Fellowship, Community Programs, the Academy, and the Store, under one unified mission and brand.

Adonis assumed that simply being in college and having a background in unrelated jobs would be enough to open doors for internships in his chosen field. Unfortunately, he was mistaken, and this is a misconception shared by far too many students today. Although he dedicated a significant amount of time to practicing and researching his field of study, it was not enough for employers. He applied for numerous internships and positions, some of which required two or more years of prior experience, but without success.

"I am just starting college and beginning my career in my field of study. How can you expect me to already have two or more years of experience in this area?"

That question stayed with him. And it became the foundation of everything that followed.
It is well known that for various reasons not everyone gets the chance to secure an internship or job in their field of study. Companies continue to use rigorous selection processes tailored to their specific needs, a practice that is entirely valid. Yet we must not overlook the many talented candidates who lack work experience. They keep trying, but unfortunately, doors remain closed to them. Perhaps all they need is a starting point to eventually shine. How can you know their potential if you never give them a chance?

This program also exists because of what Bellevue School District did for Adonis during one of the most difficult periods of his life. At a time when he was going through something serious enough to land him in the emergency room, the counselors, teachers, and staff showed up. One of them stayed at the hospital until almost midnight to make sure he was not alone. They provided care and support, connected him with resources, and made sure nothing stood in the way of him continuing his education. Even after he went to college, professors and staff members committed to keeping in touch to make sure he was not missing anything.

Because of people who refused to let him fall through the cracks and because of the barriers he faced, the repeated rejections, and the doors that closed before he could even knock, the InBorn GT Innovation Fellowship exists.

It was built so that students who are capable and driven but have not had the right doors opened can get real experience and a genuine shot at the opportunities they deserve. The InBorn GT Innovation Fellowship was not created to replace the hard work candidates and students must put into their own journeys. Rather, it was designed to serve as a starting point for those who simply need a place to begin.

What Is the Innovation Fellowship?

The Innovation Fellowship — Live Career Studio, is our flagship career mentorship program: a free, live, online experience where students collaborate across various career fields to build and launch a real simulated brand from the ground up. Founded in 2026, the Fellowship was designed to address one of the most persistent barriers students face finding their first internship or job in their field. Most opportunities require experience you have not had the chance to get yet. The Fellowship exists to break that barrier.

Our Mission

Our mission is to inspire people so that they can inspire the next generation. To give every student, regardless of background or financial situation, access to real hands-on career experience, hands-on experience with industry standard tools, professional mentorship, and a portfolio piece they can take directly into the workforce.

Think of it as your first, second, or third internship, however many times you need it. It is more hands-on, more creative, more collaborative, and more impactful than any traditional internship you will ever find.

Why? Because:

1. Everything you build belongs to you, not the company. Your work, your portfolio, your future.
2. Every role depends on every other role, just like a real company. Nothing gets built alone. You experience what real cross-functional collaboration actually feels like.
3. While in the program you have the opportunity to attend live workshops with industry professionals in your specific career field, ask real questions, get real answers, and learn directly from people already doing what you want to do.

We proudly call it the Live Career Studio because of its unique mentorship and cross-functional collaboration model. Think of it like a real company, everyone has a role, every field depends on every other field, and the brand only launches when everyone shows up. Nothing gets built alone.
The program runs 12 to 14 weeks per cohort. Students can participate in as many cohorts as they want while in school, each cohort is a new brand, a new team, and a new experience.

How Is It Structured?

The Fellowship is organized across five divisions:

• Creative: Graphic Design, UI/UX, Photography
• Media and Content: Social Media, Digital Marketing, Content Management, Video Production, Music Production
• Technology: Front-End Development, Full-Stack Engineering, Data Analytics, Product Management
• Operations: Administrative and operational support roles
• Career Development: Career Development Manager

Each division is led by a Division Lead who mentors fellows throughout the program. All sessions are live and online following a structured weekly rhythm. All tools are provided free of charge.

Who Do We Serve?

High school students ages 14 to 18 years old and college students ages 18 to 25 years old. Both groups participate in separate cohorts to ensure the right environment for each age group.
