InBorn GT Innovation Fellowship is an internship program where you build real things, use real tools, and work alongside real mentors for free. No connections required. No prior experience needed. Just a field you care about and the discipline to show up.

A dedicated Field Lead
Every intern is assigned a student Field Lead in their field. They run your weekly check-in, review your work, and give you direct feedback throughout the entire program.
Live workshops via Zoom
Throughout the cohort you attend live sessions hosted by industry professionals and guest panelists in your field. Real insights from people actually doing the work.
Professional tools experience
GitHub, Figma, Notion, Slack, and more. The same tools used in real companies. All free.
A LinkedIn recommendation
Before you graduate the program, a fellow intern writes a real LinkedIn recommendation for you. You leave with a professional endorsement already on your profile.

How It Works
Step 1: Apply for your field
Choose the field that matches what you want to learn. Submit a short application. Your application will be reviewed, and you will hear back from us in no more than 2 weeks. No essays. No GPA requirements.
Step 2: Get matched with a mentor
If accepted, you are paired with a student Field Lead in your field who reviews your work every week.
Step 3: Build your project
You work on a real project as part of a full brand launch simulation. Every field contributes something. Your piece is yours.
Step 4: Present, graduate, keep building
At the end of 10β12 weeks you present your work at the cohort showcase, receive your certificate, and leave with something real.
Who This Is For
This program is for you if you are a college or high school student who wants real experience before graduation, if you are tired of internships that require experience you do not have yet, if you want to build something you can actually show, and if you are willing to show up every week for 10β12 weeks and do the work.
It does not matter what your major is. It does not matter if you have never done this before. It matters that you show up.
The Story Behind It
Built by a student who needed a door opened.
InBorn GT Innovation Fellowship was built by a STEM student in Washington State.
This program exists because of what Bellevue School District did for me. At a time when I was going through something difficult enough to end up in the emergency room, the counselors, teachers, staff, and school district staff showed up. One of them stayed at the hospital until almost midnight to make sure I was not alone. They provided care and support, connected me with resources, and made sure I was okay before I left. They made sure nothing stood in the way of me continuing my education. Even after I went to college, a professor and a staff member committed to keeping in touch to make sure I was not missing anything.
I also know what it feels like to be rejected from opportunities because of experience I was never given the chance to build. Doors that closed before I could even knock.
Because of people who refused to let me fall through the cracks, and because of barriers I faced that no student should have to face alone, InBorn GT Innovation Fellowship exists. It was built so that students who are capable and hungry but have not had the right doors opened can get real experience and a genuine shot at the opportunities they deserve.
